How To Maintain A Well-Moisturized Skin All Day

By

Many people have problems with their dry skin. It does not only make the skin look wrinkled and ugly but it is also a very embarrassing situation for many people. The worst thing is, it greatly drops down a person's self-confidence. I, for one, have been carrying this problem since I was little. My skin becomes extremely dry at times and I need to give it extra care to make myself feel comfortable inside and out. I even bought this home remedy book guide to know what are the best ways to remedy this problem.

There are many ways on how we could solve this problem. It is necessary to find out which remedy works best for our skin. One of these solutions is by mixing yoghurt and lemon and applying it directly to the skin. This treatment makes my skin feel so refreshingly clean, smooth and moisturized all day long. Below are the different solutions to help make our skin look moisturized, healthy and younger looking all day.

Yoghurt and Lemon

Here is the step-by-step process on how to make a yoghurt-lemon moisturizer. After a few days, you will notice that your skin has become healthier and more moisturized.

Mix thorougly 5 tablespoons of yoghurt and 1 tablespoon of lemon. Later on, the mixture will have a sticky consistency. Apply the mixture to the dry parts of your body. Usually, I apply it to my whole body, even to my face as I love the refreshing and moisturized feeling after. Leave it on for 15 minutes. Rinse with water. Your skin will become smooth and feel healthy. You won't need to apply lotion anymore for a day or two. If you want to maintain that well moisturized skin, do this as your regular regimen three times weekly.

Sunscreen

Sunscreen is very important for your skin. The suns rays are very damaging to our skin and makes it dry, wrinkled and ugly looking. It strips away moisture and youth on our skin. The best way to remedy this is to avoid sun exposure. However, if ever being under the sun cannot be avoided, it is best to apply sunscreen to your skin with Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of at least 15. You can use Neutrogena Moisture Oil-Free SPF 15. This formula blocks UVA and UVB rays from the sun. It is dermatologist recommended and is non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic and alcohol-free. It is also fragrance-free which is good for those who are allergic to some strong fragrances.

Alpha Hydroxy Acids

Another solution is to use a lotion with alpha hydroxy acids. It does not only gently reduces the apperance of unsightly acne scars on your face but also does removes dead skin cells and reduces inflamation of acne. Another popular lotion is Alpha Hydrox Sheer Silk Moisturizer with an SPF of 15. It also protects the skin from both UVB and UVA rays. This moisturizer protects your skin from sunburn and damage later in life. Prolonged sun exposure has usually visible results at a person's later age.

Lotion with Petroleum Jelly

Mixing your lotion with petroleum jelly is a very good moisturizer too. It is best to apply lotion with this mixture right after you shower as at this time, the pores are still open. I usually use Vaseline or Johnson & Johnson petroleum jelly.

Nivea Cream

Many people use Nivea cream to add moisture to the skin. Unlike petroleum jelly, it is less greasy. I have used this cream before and it really did wonders to my skin. There are times I also use it only to the dry parts of my body. Either way, Nivea has effective skin moisturizing effects.
